Bally's Park Place is located between Park Place and Michigan Avenue on 8.5 acres of oceanfront property along Atlantic City's famous Boardwalk. Those familiar with the board game Monopoly (which is based on Atlantic City) will realize that Bally's occupies the most prestigious address in town at Park Place & the Boardwalk. Bally's is owned and operated by Park Place Entertainment, the same company that operates Caesars, The Hilton, The Claridge and the Wild Wild West. While Caesars and The Hilton operate independently, the other three casinos merged to create Atlantic City's largest casino resort. In total, the three properties have 1,753 hotel rooms, 21 restaurants, 6 lounges, 2 pools, 2 health spas, 14 shops, 220,000 square feet of gaming areas in four casinos, 1 550-seat theater, more than 80,000 square feet of meeting and convention facilities, 4,000 parking spaces, and 17 bus bays. Partly located on the site of the former Marlborough and Blenheim Hotels, Bally's was built around the still-standing Dennis Hotel, an historic structure that dates back to 1860. The old hotel is completely restored and today serves as one of Bally's hotels. Guests are offered the choice between traditional accommodations in the Dennis Hotel section and more contemporary rooms and suites in Bally's Hotel Tower. Guests can choose rooms from four sections: the Dennis Hotel, the Garden Rooms, Bally's Hotel Tower and the Claridge Casino at Bally's. Bally's is distinct for its spacious pedestrian gateways that connect the resorts in climate-controlled comfort. Guests can stroll by casinos, shops and restaurants for five city blocks - from the Claridge Casino, to Bally's, to The Wild Wild West Casino, to Coyote Kate's Slot Parlor and to Caesars Atlantic City (from Indiana to Missouri Avenues) - without exiting the buildings. Guests of Bally's Atlantic City have convenient access to the Claridge Hotel Tower casino floor, Palace Theater, and Lucky's Lounge via "The Gateway," a $25 million expansion that was completed in July 2002. The Gateway connects the second floor of the Claridge casino floor to the hotel lobby of Bally's, joining the properties at Pacific Avenue and Brighton Park, along Park Place. In addition to the enclosed walk bridge; the Gateway includes approximately 10,000 square feet of retail space, including the Bagel & Doughnut Connection, Park Place Jewelers, and a men's and women's clothing boutique called "Studio Park Place." Another one of Bally's new additions is the Bikini Beach Bar, offering a variety of entertainment seven days a week, beach amenities, cabanas, and capacity for 200 guests. In addition to the bar, Bally's Bikini Beach also offers guests the opportunity to rent cabanas, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, and lounge chairs daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during summer months.
Bally's is perfect. The central location encompasses the Claridge, Bally's, & the Wild West Casinos. Many food options, central location, two blocks to the new outlet center, seconds from the Expressway. Overall facility is cleaner and better maintained than most. ....Click Here for the full review
