The Sands is one of Atlantic City's smaller casino resorts, but its central Boardwalk location makes up for what it may lack in size and scale. The Sands is always upgrading or improving, both internally and externally. The casino-hotel boasts not only a new modern-looking façade, but also upgraded their hotel rooms and a refurbished gaming hall. The 21-floor hotel offers 532 guestrooms and suites, many of which offer an excellent view of area beaches and the Atlantic Ocean. The Sands offers a well-balanced mix of slots and table games that can accommodate any budget. The casino is noted for its Poker room, not only because of its elegant design, but also due to the excellent customer service. The Sands provides a wide array of headliner entertainment. Their Copa Room has played host to entertainers such as Jackie Mason and the B-52's. Other amenities include a fitness room, health spa, cocktail lounges, gift shops, hair salon and a motorcoach drop-off facility. The Sands isn't really known for its nightlife, but Swingers is trying to change that fact. It's got a modern look and large screen TVs, but hasn't gained a dedicated following yet. The Sands provides a motorized walkway that carries visitors directly from the Boardwalk to the casino. Visitors also have the option to stroll the landscaped gardens that divide the property from the famed Boardwalk.
What has been said before in other reviews is true. The place is dingy. At least the bathrooms were clean, though. However, my pillows were not I found yellow stains on two of them.
Also, the complaints about waiting for a room are true. We arrived at 5pm with the Sands policy of check-in at 4 ....Click Here for the full review
