Undoubtedly one of the most popular bars in South Jersey, locals and visitors alike frequent Maloney's for that party-till-you-drop atmosphere. During the weekends and most every night during the summer, this place is out-of-control with drunken twenty- to thirty-somethings looking to blow off steam. And it's always a grand party. Fortunately there are four different rooms and an outside patio in which to mingle (patio is seasonal). You may even be able to find the man or woman of your dreams in here, at least for the night. DJ spins top 40 music. Friday nights feature domestic beer and well drinks for $1.50, and free bar food from 5pm to Midnight. As far as dining goes, Maloney's serves hearty servings of beef, chicken and seafood. Lunch and dinner served seven days, breakfast on weekends. Beef and beer room and an outside bar are available. Maloney's is known for its fantastic crab cakes; these things are huge! Separated into two levels, Maloney's has a nice atmosphere upstairs and the downstairs serves as more of a rustic tavern. Located just a block away from the beach on Margate's most popular street, Washington Avenue, Maloney's is a great place to eat and then to party. Open daily from 11am-4am.
I've been here a few times, due to the overwhelming recommendations from locals, and regular weekend warriors. Each time it was a madhouse in the downstairs bar (aka "the Zoo").
