Mixx is the Borgata's nightclub that also doubles as a restaurant. The dancing starts at 10pm, when the tables are cleared off to reveal a large dance floor with a booming sound and light system suspended overhead. The two-floored venue feels a bit cavernous if you're there to dine, but the space seems to fill up during club hours, especially on weekend nights. The second floor has two great seating areas, a nice bar and some private rooms that can be rented for the evening. Long, comfortable couches with ottomans help create a lounge atmosphere on the second floor and since it overlooks the dance floor, it's a great place to people-watch while you have a cocktail. You'll get a good view of the DJ stand and stage where the Mixx dancers perform. Of course the dancers also perform on the dance floor and the requisite pedestals that are scattered throughout the first floor. These hot dancers are just part of the scenery as Mixx also has the sexiest wait-staff in town. True to the name of the club, the crowd here is indeed a "mixx" of locals, hotel guests and those in search of a good time. The attire is varied, but tends to be on the upscale side. Strictly in terms of a dance club, no other casino club comes close except for the Casbah at the Taj. As a restaurant, Mixx offers an interesting blend of Asian and Latino influences. A busy sushi bar produces not only sushi, but also sashimi, ceviches and tiraditos. A special section of the menu celled Stixx is dedicated to tasty bites served on skewers, such as sates and yakitoris.
Saturday night a friend of mine turned 21, so all of us got a limo and went 2 The Borgata 2 go 2 MIXX! We never been there before, but It was the best time Ive had at a club. I thought Mixx was a great time. The music was kept the energy going, the staff is hot!!! And I am a secure woman that was not hating the dancers...I think they are hot and can dance. The girls and the guys. Great club! ....Click Here for the full review
