The only bar of its kind in Atlantic City, Planet Rose provides budding singing stars a venue to strut their stuff. The wildly designed karaoke bar is a fun place to loosen up the pipes with a couple of cocktails, and then belt out your favorite tune. This branch in the Quarter is a follow-up to the New York City location which happens to be a favorite with the cast of Saturday Night Live. The wide-ranging appeal of the Quarter translates into fun at Planet Rose because you can never guess what song will be performed next; from Sinatra to Metallica to Garth Brooks, anything is possible. "What sets Planet Rose apart is that it has a cool and sexy vibe, but at the same time it doesn't take itself too seriously," said owner David Pena. "It's a place for everyone to act a little silly and have a whole lot of fun. At Planet Rose, the customers are the stars of the show; they are the entertainment." No cover charge, open seven days a week from noon to whenever.
