"It seems to me that the Tropicana is only concerned about what things look like on the surface, without taking into consideration the substance underneath. Although the Top of the Trop has a magnificent view of Atlantic City, giving it its romantic ambiance, I was quite annoyed by the fact that the entertainment merely looked good, but sounded terrible. The vocalist was attractive, but she couldn't sing a lick! The same situation is found at Tango's in the Quarter. Although Ms. Tinnon is very elegant, her constant "scooping" up to notes was reminiscent of the feeling of fingers run down a chalkboard. Unfortunately, I see this situation more often than not. Another example - it seems like the Tiffany Lounge at the Tropicana only requires that the bands be young, and that the female(s) bear their mid-drifts. A common word that was heard several times throughout the crowd to describe the musicians there was "trashy". When are the casinos going to start booking entertainment based on their actual talent instead of their looks, like they used to long ago?"
