The Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) is located just minutes from downtown Atlantic City, offering shuttle, taxi and rental car transportation. Not only the most convenient air transportation outlet for visitors to Atlantic City, but ACY is also one of the most secure commercial airports in the northeast. The airport was one of the nation's first to meet or exceed the new FAA mandated security measures. Now travelers arrive to find the New Jersey State Police, the New Jersey National Guard, and local law enforcements ensuring traveler safety.
Perhaps most importantly, ACY has developed an efficient ticketing and boarding process even with an increase in security measures. Unlike large metropolitan airports, at ACY it is now possible to go from the parking area to the ticket counter, through security and onto the boarding gate in less than thirty minutes, most times of the day.
ACY's parking facilities offer an approximate 2,000-vehicle capacity, with plans on the way to add even more. Parking rates are $3.50 a day max for economy parking. Short-term parking is $1 an hour.
Several different rental car companies are on site. Taxicabs are available to downtown Atlantic City for a flat rate of $27 each way. ACY flight carriers consist of Spirit Airlines and US Airways. Airline flight and fare data are constantly changing. For such information just contact the airline directly, or contact your local travel agent.
