A great way to travel the length of the city is by taking a relaxing ride in an historic Rolling Chair along the famous Boardwalk of Atlantic City. Rolling Chairs have been an Atlantic City treasure since the 1800s. The wicker, canopied chairs-on-wheels are manually pushed the length of the Boardwalk by friendly attendants, much like a carriage ride. A Rolling Chair ride offers easy access to 11 of the 14 casino properties. Visitors have used the rolling chair for a relaxing ride, a scenic tour, or on occasion, for special events. All one has to do is step onto the boardwalk and flag one down. Attendants are eager to give you a ride. And remember: Rolling Chairs are not built for speed, but for relaxation and romance. Prices vary. (Give a tip every now and then, too, if you can.) For more information call 609-347-7148.
